Exciting news! We’re starting a real estate team! (Now what!)
There’s the obvious - take care of all the paperwork, compliance, etc (broker is helping with that)
Next?
Hiring an assistant/admin: Our short-term plan is to have a licensed assistant / ISA (we already have her hired and as a past REW ISA and AE, we know she’ll be great). The goal is to work with her to build out our systems and processes as we transition her to full-time buyers agent as volume picks up and she gains experience. She will then train the full-time team assistant/admin once we have the volume.
Hiring coaches: Practice what you preach right? We’ve hired AJ Hazzi one of REW academy’s main coaches for the team. I’ll also be personally coaching the team on CRM usage, lead follow etc and I’ve recommended to Carly she find an amazing 1-1 coach/mentor (someone like a Debra Beagle) who can help her develop her mentorship, training, and culture approach.
Brand refresh: We need to change the brand everywhere. We’re keeping the logo, just changing the sub heading to “Real Estate Team”
Website upgrade: This part I’m super excited about. Carlycarey.com was the first Renaissance website to launch, but it’s been several years now, and there are so many great ideas and features we have developed and we’re looking forward to adding several epic enhancements to the site. (Any REW customer is welcome to have their retainer team copy them < using REW of course as they are proprietary and our IP)
Recruiting more agents: We have 10,000+ leads in just our first 3 years, and can generate as many as we like (we are REW.com after all) and so we’ll likely start with around 300-400 leads per month in combined lead gen.
What would YOU do locally to launch a new team?
This is where I’d love advice from experienced agents: What more traditional type marketing (or creative marketing) have you done recently that really helped with visibility?
We’re willing to consider everything:
Radio / Television Commercials
Bus Benches, Billboards,
Flyers / Postcards
How about it? If budget was not technically an issue (but you still cared about ROI) what would you be doing to start off a brand new team in 2024 right?
I don’t know what I don’t know (but I’m excited to learn!)
Appreciate your feedback! We will certainly share all that works for us here as well as we go through this process.
