Blogging for real estate using human assisted AI

Last week I had the pleasure of speaking to the Luxuryrealestate.com folks about a process we refer to as “human-assisted AI”

The basic premise is this: You can use AI to create amazing content for your site, but you then need to make sure you go back in and edit the content for accuracy, and also add your own touches/flair to it so that it stands out and is far more unique.

I thought I’d pop in here and give you a few simple examples related to blogging to get you started.

What’s important to note, is that this entire process took me less than 10 minutes (I’ve had practice)

First - get your ideas: Let’s say you’re trying to create blogs to support Nanaimo Real Estate (or the city of Nanaimo) using pillar content pages.

The easiest way to do this is just go to Google, type in “Nanaimo” (or Naniamo Real Estate) < whatever area you are focused on.

Then take a look at either the “people also ask” section which looks like this:

Or scroll down a bit to the end of the search page and find “related searches” Pro tip, there is GOLD in related searches in terms of what to blog about

For now, let’s just pick “Things to do in Nanaimo”

Now just pick your favourite AI Tool (mine is REWPert of course) but since he’s not client facing “yet” you could use a tool like Bing’s ChatGPT tool (which is very cool)

Here’s my prompt.

“Write a blog post about things to do in the summer in Nanaimo, British Columbia include both indoor and outdoor activities”

I could have gone deeper, but this is a quick example (and more than enough to get you started)

I chose casual (because it’s a blog) and medium length (this is a quick hit blog)

Hit go, then copy it over to your blog.

It should look like this:

Most people who are lazy and trying to get away with doing the bare minimum in AI stop here.

It is NOT enough!

If nothing else, you need to read it quickly and ensure you check it for spelling, grammar, and factual accuracy. This takes no time at all. I already had to do a few edits.

Your first quick win to making this more unique? Go add headings!

It’s super simple! Just go create H2’s for each main section, use your own words to describe the section below it.

Now it looks like this. (It’s already better, more unique and easier to read.

Ok next - since it’s your neck of the woods, I want you to read each section and then make your own comment on that section. Just a sentence or two per section:

For example (me pretending to be Carly) I commented on the hiking section: See the spot now under Hiking and biking about Ammonite falls? I added that, it’s 100% unique.

Easy right? Now you’re adding personal touches to your blog, creating unique content (without having to think too much)

Now to finish it off (if you’re looking to do a “quick” job on this, go grab a few photos (they should be ones you own and make sure they are WebP format) and embed them after each heading / content section.

Like so:

Easy right?

This process for this example literally took me less than 10 minutes. You could do this 5-7 x per week (or you could do all of them at once and optimize your time even more and then just set publish dates for the future)

Now, if you really want to go pro on this, you would also be editing the content that was produced (even more uniqueness) and adding things like FAQ’s, outbound links to authority sites etc

We can talk about that here in the thread - let me know what questions you have in the comments below :point_down:t2:

Hi Morgan! Don’t you think eventually search engines will punish AI content and affect organic rankings? I mean, this is all new for all marketers, still, there are no rules about this, only rumors. Now, the fact that Google created Bard and Bing is using ChatGTP is for machine learning purposes only, and not to benefit rankings for the ones using AI? Please comment on this.

Hi Cesar,

If you don’t mind I’ll chime in with an answer here.

Google has stated that they’re OK with AI-generated content. In fact, they’ve stated that they don’t really care about the process that goes into the creation of content, just so long as it hits their standards for quality and user-experience.

We wrote a piece about Google’s guidelines concerning AI content :point_left: so you can read more about it there.
