Do real estate websites have to be ADA compliant?

One of our awesome customers in New Mexico was asking this question today and the short answer is “yes” they absolutely do have to be compliant.

But the challenge is still there are no clear guidelines (other than the WCAG 2.1 which is not a government entity) and so it’s still kind of the wild west.

BUT Do real estate websites have to be ADA compliant?

Yes, they do. So make sure you use alt tags on your images, ensure lots of contract of text over top of images and do all the WCAG 2.1 things you can to ensure your content is as accessible and user friendly as it can be.
