Some emails are going to Spam. Why?

Hey everyone,

I’m not sure if this is the right place to post, but I have an older Barbara site. I use SendGrid to send out emails. I have a dedicated IP address. My reputation score on SendGrid is 99.8. I started noticing that some of my leads are getting back to me and say that they found my email in Spam. The emails that are being sent are Saved Searches and drip emails. If someone unsubscribes, they’re no longer being emailed. I don’t spam people. So the question is, why are some of my emails (not all) are ending up in Spam and what can I do about it?

These emails are kind of related to marketing, which is why I posted here.

TIA

A lot of times it has to do with the content or design of the emails. If you have a lot of images or html / links in there it can trigger spam filters etc. The best thing to do is test out variants of your emails to see if it makes a change, not sure if you can measure deliverability in Sendgrid or not.

As this is related to the Barb (which is long deprecated) I don’t really know much about what the saved search emails etc look like or what kind of code they have, but the newer ones (like those in #renaissance ) are definitely quite lean and do seem to deliver well.
