The Greater Antelope Valley Association Of REALTORS® (GAVAR), in Palmdale, CA offers a dynamic and active membership with regular newsletters, and events, as well as many other fun perks to local attractions including theme park getaways. One of the main goals of GAVAR is to unite real estate professionals in an organization beneficial to their continued success in the industry, while maintaining and exceeding ethical codes of conduct.

Members Of NAR & CAR

Members of GAVAR are entitled to membership with the National Association of Realtors (NAR), and California Association of Realtors (CAR), without paying further dues. CAR provides comprehensive continuing education programs and member resources as well as meetings and events. Members of NAR have access to a wide variety of events, networking, business tools, market data, and further educational options available to real estate professionals at a state-wide level.

Qualifications For GAVAR Membership

There are five classes of GAVAR membership which are: REALTOR® Members, Institute Affiliate Members, Affiliate Members, Public Service Members and GAVAR Honorary Members For Life. In order to be qualified as REALTOR® Members, the following is a snapshot of necessary requirements for those principals, partners, corporate officers or branch office managers of real estate agencies:

• Current and valid California real estate broker or salesperson license, or real estate appraisal certification or license in California, as well as:
• Acting as sole proprietor, partners or corporate officer of a real estate agency or office manager of an agency acting on behalf of the agency's principal, or principals, as well as:
• An active agent in the profession, as well as:
• Maintain or be affiliated with a real estate firm located within California or contiguous state, as well as:
• Have no record of official sanctions as rendered by the courts or other lawful authorities for violations of civil rights or criminal convictions.
