The Greater Augusta Association of REALTORS®, in Augusta, GA, was founded in 1914 by real estate brokers who wanted to nurture their relationships with the public and clients. A big part of its creation was to promote ethical and moral conduct when state licensing laws or agencies were lacking or absent, as well as to protect private property rights.

GAAR IDX Solutions

In 1980, GAAR acquired the MLS® service for Augusta to ensure that GAAR IDX solutions were available to members and afforded them cutting edge technology in the real estate market. This service was recently expanded to the public in a website that is available to all.

The Board not only provides quality IDX services but continues to keep members educated and informed of the newest techniques and technological tools that are at the forefront of the industry.

GAAR Membership Benefits

GAAR membership benefits include plenty of committees to get involved, newsletters, events, luncheons and professional development. There is a strong tradition of leadership with many members in significant positions at the National Association of REALTORS® (NAR). Currently all members of the Greater Augusta Association Of REALTORS® are also members of the Georgia Association of REALTORS® and NAR.
