Does the backend automatically update or do I need to do something? My site is still in dev and this is not active in it.
Can I choose which of my listings get featured or is it all or none?
The backend automatically updates with patches as long as you donât have significant customizations to the backend software.
In terms of how it queries listings - itâs contextually relevant so âifâ you have a listing that (or listings) that match that search / snippet, you can tell the system to showcase them at the top of the results (note they are also keep their normal spot in the search result or snippet as well, so it shows as a featured result, and then in regular results as you scroll)
The system can be set by office or by agent and you can choose to limit to a specific number of results (but you cannot choose to limit to just specific listings)
Another sick update, just tested on our site, looks amazing.
Heads up to anyone who does âfeatured listingsâ snippets, this will double up
REW For future update Itâd be awesome have the ability to add a toggle in the IDX snippet creation where you can disable this feature on specific snippets, I canât think of many other uses outside of your own featured listings though where youâd need to.
Yes I noticed that too and submitted a ticket to REW. A few ways to solve for it, but it does create duplicates on a lot of our snippets, especially featured listings landing pages.
Talked to support and they are saying this is the intended behavior. We have the identical issue on our homepage under our featured listings snipper, we choose to display 3 and they are shown twice.
This happens again on our featured listings landing page where there are duplicates of all our listings as well. I donât think it looks good to our agents and clients and is confusing to the user.
Hello Greg - this is certainly not âintended behaviourâ - itâs more like âunintended behaviourâ
Seems you gents have found a use case that we did not consider when creating this feature, and so while it is certainly âcoded that way right currentlyâ, now that youâve let us know, weâll need to solve for it in R & D (will take a bit of time and go into the next release or so)
Thank you very much for catching this and the feedback, we really appreciate you helping us out to make this feature better for you (and all REW Customers)
Pinging @Aayaam and @DeethuKr to get this on the list.
I like the idea prosed âon snippetsâ have a checkbox to disable the feature, seems to be the easiest and most logical way to handle this, but weâll do a quick exploratory to see if there are any other ways that might work as well or better.
Keep the feedback coming! And thank you
Agree that fix would work well. Thank you! This looks great everywhere else!
Thank you, @Morgan. We have duly noted this feedback and added it to our R&D board for further exploration.
Is there any way to get the logo to pop with a little more resolution?
Also, was the team able to look at the treatment for customers with featured listings pages?
We actually have a solution for this coming in the next R & D release (next month) - itâs pretty simple, since your featured listings are a snippet, we just added a âdonât showâ toggle on snippets now (which I think was a solution suggested by one of you members)
So itâs âon the wayâ
As for logo popping, thatâs beyond my pay grade - @AmyPye any ideas?
Perfect. Thatâd be very cool. Thanks for the reply!
Hi Amy, weâve tried several high-res versions and the logo is always scaled down to a pixelated version. You can see examples on westandmainhomes.com
